Deer Lake Resident Camp

A spectacular high adventure mountain camp just for girls! Tucked away between 2 beautiful lakes at an elevation of 6800 ft, Deer Lake has been providing incredible summer adventures for over 50 years.

Located in the Tahoe National Forest near Donner Summit, Deer Lake offers a wide variety of programs designed to encourage and support girls in their quest to face and overcome outdoor challenges, develop new skills, gain confidence, make independent decisions and of course, have fun! From the excitement of windsurfing, rock climbing, canoeing and archery to the thrill of soaring down the zip line at the adventure course – Deer Lake offers the ultimate camp experience. And at the end of the day, under a brilliant canopy of stars, girls will enjoy the peaceful calm of the mountains as they build lasting memories surrounded by new friends.

All of our camps provide a positive environment where girls are nurtured, respected and challenged. Emphasis is placed on group interactions and activities that help girls define themselves. Under the guidance of a trained, adult staff, girls we assist girls in developing skills, learn teamwork and enhance their self esteem. The staff and administration at Deer Lake are committed to providing the highest quality of program for every child at camp. The health and safety of our campers and the caliber of program are our primary concerns and we strive to offer every girl a well-rounded and complete camp experience.
