Try your hand at no-bake cooking and experiment with colors, shapes, patterns, and textures to make fun and tasty treats that tickle your taste buds.  Get creative and decorate your own apron and recipe book and plan a party to share your delicious creations.

Here we go!  Explore different types of music and dance from around the world.  From salsa to hip hop to country and beyond, you’ll have fun movin’ and groovin’ Metro style.  Try new dances that tell stories, make masks and props to use, and dance to the beats of music from many cultures.  Learn new dance moves and even make up your own then put on a dance party with all your camp friends. 

Hang on for a great summer adventure when you grab the ropes and scale the walls with rock climbing and high ropes course fun.  Learn the basics of climbing and belaying from experts at a local climbing gym. Practice bouldering skills, rappelling, and team challenges, and hang out with new friends too.  Then climb to the treetops and experience the fun of the High Adventure ropes course at Bothin in Marin. Scale the triple stack 60’ in the trees, crawl through the giant cargo net, and soar through the air on the zip line. Awesome! 

Cool off during those hot summer days when you take ice skating lessons at the Sharks Ice Arena. This program includes lessons and free skate time. Brush up on the basics and try out new techniques, skate to music, and play games on the ice too! Warm up back at camp when you create fun dance moves and plan a flashmob. Enjoy crafts, games, and summer fun with new friends too.  

Cakes, cakes, and cupcakes, too! Be a pastry chef as you discover the art of cake decorating. Work with fondant, butter creams, and icings. Create unique combinations of cakes, fillings, colors, and textures.  Learn piping techniques then get inspired with your decorating team and create a designer cake to enter into the sixth annual Camp Metro cake decorating contest! 

Let out your inner girl power while pampering yourself at camp! Express yourself with a new hairstyle and develop your own line of homemade facial and sugar scrubs. Create lip gloss and lotion from ecologically-friendly ingredients. Show your own unique style as you accessorize with jewelry that you design. Refresh yourself this week at Spa Metro!

Anything is possible with a little pixie dust and girl power! Step into an enchanting world of make-believe when you dress up in costumes, act out fairytales, have fun with face paint, and design your own pixie identity.  Build pixie houses in the Camp Metro gardens and show off your pixie power at a delightful tea party with all your new friends.  All it takes is a little imagination and anything could happen.  Go pixies!

Set out on daily back roads adventures to discover whacky and hidden spots around the Bay.  From the Pez museum and a fortune cookie factory to one of the world’s largest collections of coin operated arcade machines and more – you never know what you’ll find!  With Camp Metro cameras in hand, snap photos of you and your friends at these crazy places then share your adventure through innovative storytelling when you create a unique postcard journal.  Say cheese!  

Summer fun at its best, and it’s all here waiting for YOU! Get creative with arts and crafts, play games with new friends, hang out in a clubhouse you design, learn some cool dance moves, and even try using the sun to cook an afternoon snack.  Make a splash and have a blast when you go swimming two times at a local community pool too.  It’s a new adventure every day!

Sugar, spice, and everything nice!  Make delicious pies, fabulous fondue, creamy dreamy custards, and even sidewalk ice cream.  Create your own signature cookie and take a trip to a local bakery for a behind-the-scenes tour. Try the fine art of candy making, and design some sweet treats for you and your friends! 

Are you ready for a little adventure?  A new, fuzzy friend awaits your arrival at camp to start the fun.  Make your own teddy bear then team up with your new friends, and of course your bear, and have fun solving clues that will lead you on a new adventure everyday.  Maybe your clues will take you to the art pavilion for some creative crafts, or to the stage to learn the “Teddy Bear Tango” or even to the nature room to find out about real bears. There’s even a special Teddy Bear picnic waiting for you!
